Autonomous TrashBot

Project Description

The Autonomous TrashBot was developed independently by a group of 6 Mechanical Engineers, fulfilling a senior capstone design project. At the onset, our group wanted to invent a consumer technology. After extensive ideation and careful selection, we decided to pursue a trash can handling robot. Then, we spent a month using crude analysis and rapid prototyping to develop a fundamental design.

Unfortunately, COVID19 interrupted our semester and blocked us from accessing the resources we needed to build a high-functioning prototype of our idea. However, we spent the rest of the semester detailing out the CAD and even an App design to demonstrate our envisioned user experience.
